Law Enforcement Associated Defense (LEAD) is a Utah-based independent police association built by public safety professionals, for public safety professionals.

We provide legal defense coverage to full-time first responders: officers, deputies, and dispatchers who serve our communities every day. LEAD is founded on transparency, member-driven governance, and a commitment to standing beside those who protect others.

Beyond legal support, we believe in fostering community among our members and giving back through community outreach. We also proudly support our retirees, honoring their service by helping them transition to a happy, healthy retirement.
